Description

Green Rooibos

Green rooibos comes from the same shrub as regular rooibos. This rooibos is not fermented and therefore remains green. Because it is not fermented, Green Rooibos retains more anti-oxidants than regular rooibos, in addition, Green Rooibos is lighter in color and slightly fruity in taste.

Origin of rooibos tea

The rooibos plant grows exclusively in South Africa. The plant’s needles turn from green to red during the processing process. The quality of rooibos is determined by the amount of needles. The more needle and the less branch, the better the taste and quality of the rooibos tea.

How do I brew rooibos tea?

Rooibos is actually a very easy tea to brew, as it does not really become bitter -even after a long steeping. For the tastiest cup of rooibos, take a measuring spoon, which is about 2 grams, per cup at a water temperature of about 90 degrees.

How do I store loose tea?

Loose tea is best stored airtight and dark. Preferably in a cool dry place. As a result, the tea stays tasty much longer. A tin that closes tightly is a good choice for storing your loose tea.
